Interaction Design

Duration:
01-03.2023

The Daylight Stargazer project is a mixed reality experience that invites visitors to explore the sky above Mt Wilson, a historic site of observation for the cosmos. The project seeks to strengthen visitors' connection with the universe by offering a unique and immersive way to engage with the nature at Mt Wilson, specifically the sky and the heavens above.

The experience begins with visitors discovering AR binoculars hidden along the mountain trail, leading them to the most stunning and open sky area, complete with lounge chairs for comfortable viewing. Using eye tracking technology, visitors can explore the stars, constellations, and other astronomical objects visible in the sky in real-time. In addition to traditional stargazing, the experience also includes bird-watching and viewing the sea of clouds that often form around the mountain.
